Back in mid March Mum was rushed by ambulance to St Vincents hospital. We were told it was not good and that she probably would not be leaving the hospital.
But my Mum is a very determined strong woman and after 5 weeks in St Vincents then another week in rehab at War Memorial Hospital she is heading home today. I left after lunch with the understanding that Desley would be collecting her this afternoon and taking her home.
What will happen next? Who knows. Life for Desley and I might get back to some semblance of normality without the daily visits to hospital to add to our calendars. Let's see.
Thank you to all those who have rung us, coped with occasional outbursts and even prayed for one or more of us during this time, we are most grateful.
