I love violets. This stems from staying with my Granny who had lots in her garden. I've had trouble growing them in the past but this year they have bounced into life in my new 'arch garden'. The smell is great as I walk around the little path.
I hope you enjoy reading my reflections on food, travel, creativity, music, education, friends, family and the natural world.

Quiet Earth, Small Things day 2
As I went up to let the chooks out this morning I found they had laid an egg on the floor of their cage. A real symbol of spring! However, on the way back to the house the perfume of the freesias was incredible. I've been enjoying having them in vases in my house over the last few weeks.
So my choice for today is Freesias...
... and if you look carefully you'll find the egg too.

Quiet Earth, Small Things day 1
In light of the project in the previous post, and the project that Naz and I are collaborating on, I am going to try to collect and photograph small things that I find interesting each day in September...
Today on my walk home from the doctor to renew my script and have my RSV booster I came across some beautiful gum leaves so I picked up two and then actually picked some green ones.
