The great demolition

At last the first half of the chook shed has been demolished. This afternoon, instead of mowing my lawn, Rob, Cathy and son Daniel changed my chook shed from this ...

to this ...

and left me with a heap of rubbish to sort and a large amount of chook poo to shovel.

The chooks seem to know where they are going to sleep tonight - in the little annex at the end of the chook shed which will remain until I get my new one installed in a month or so. They slept there last night and were fine about it.

Thank you to Rob, Cathy and Daniel for all the work. It is great to know tall, strong people who have a bag of appropriate tools for the job - drills, angle grinder and more.

This shed was about 30 years old and I've been waiting many years to start this process of getting a new shed.
