A few weeks ago Cathy and I were able to remove the concrete slab from the fence line and cut all the pups from the banana that were travelling into the neighbour's yard.
We also finished erecting the Mei trap fence and all that needs to be done now is to find a gate for it.
We have stockpiled the concrete for Geoff to use in his gabions. They just need to be collected.
Oh dear! A bit more rain in the following days meant that the main banana plant fell over and was resting on the fence so it had to go as well.
Help from Cathy and Pernilla on a very muggy day meant that the trunk was removed and we were dripping with perspiration.
We moved all the trunk sections into the chook yard for them to munch on. Once the trunks are nibbled and dehydrated they will be much easier to load into Geoff's car with the concrete.
