Watching Nature

Wednesday, 2 July 2025

Last Friday was sister in law Janice's funeral. We brought home the wreath from the coffin but unfortunately both Ponyo and the wreath could not fit in Geoff's car on their way home from mine so we had to dismantle it.

On Monday Pernilla arrived to stay for a few days and as Monday was a fine day we did a bit of gardening. We levelled the passionfruit frame base.

Then I decided we could level the path and add the extra row of pavers. However, we found another row of pavers under the top row which will have to be removed and made level with the current path.

We did move the long timbers to create a platform up near the fence and as we disturbed the native violets and Dichondra from the path area we planted it in between the spaces in the timber platform.

Once the weather dries up a bit I can keep going with creativity. Perhaps a bit of a path from the back ramp to the little timber platform?

Meanwhile I am watching for climbing fern roots to send out tendrils and then transplant them to a more appropriate position.
