At last the kitchen renos are now absolutely complete

Today Cathy and I spent the morning clearing the last of the building gear out of my carport. I now have somewhere to sit in the warm winter sun so come and visit some time. Last week we made a little instant garden around the oak tree Geoff and I planted some months ago. I is one from seeds of the one at his old house.

The other thing we achieved today was to move the black metal shelving into the corner where the termites had been. We also moved the workbench from the carport into the garage. Those two great moves meant lots of lifting and manoeuvring.

This cleared space on the other black shelving for storing all the unwanted paint and electronic waste until we have collections in the area. If you see anything you want on the recycling shelf please let me know.

These jobs meant that most signs of the builders working at mine are now gone. Of course there is a lot more sorting in the garage and Geoff still has a few cubic metres of stuff to collect. But there are signs of progress. Hooray!
