Greg and Ev and Coco drove me down to Underhill because we really needed to check fruit and collect harvest. Geoff and family met us there.
The harvest was very disappointing!
There are still quinces to collect but it looks as though there were only two tiny apples. I've cooked up all the damaged fruit to make a strained jelly for later use and have about 10 pears waiting to ripen.
Geoff had trouble changing the blade on the whipper snipper so he and Greg decided to just use the cord.
It did mean we were able to clear the very long grass from around the shed and cleared out the sink area so we can see any snakes that decide to visit.
This means there is a bit of metal to add to the metal collection pile. We must ask around to see if there is a collection stockpile for the community.
Thanks for a few jobs well done. If you would like to come down now that the weather is becoming more bearable please let me know.
