After a lot of cancellations due to holidays, illness etc Casey and I eventually had our City Adventure to celebrate her recent birthday.
We met at Kinokuniya (a fabulous bookshop) but first had to go down to Grill'd to have lunch together and for me to explain the afternoon idea.
At Kinokuniya Casey chose a lovely journal, pen, and journal case for a trip she is about to embark on.
We then browsed all the camping/travel shops in Sussex St behind the Town Hall to find things she did not even know she needed for her trip. There she found a dust mask for one activity she hopes to do while away.

We then enjoyed afternoon tea at Vienna in the QVB sharing a hazelnut meringue with ice cream before catching a train home.
What a lovely afternoon together with lots of time to chat and get to know one another. A special treat for a grandma and her new grand daughter. Thank you for the opportunity Casey.
